Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 13, 2026. This policy covers our website, our advisory services, and the software products CrestPoint builds and operates.
Who we are and what this covers
CrestPoint Ventures LLC (“CrestPoint”, “we”, “us”) is an Illinois limited liability company providing finance and technology advisory services and operating software products.
This policy applies to crestpointventures.com, to our advisory services, and to software we build and operate, including tools that connect to Intuit QuickBooks, our Probity platform, and companion applications from our Creator App Studio (such as Throughline). A specific product may post a supplemental notice where its practices differ.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide the service in front of you.
- Website. Information you submit through our contact form (name, email, company, message) and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not run advertising trackers.
- Advisory engagements. Financial and operational information clients share with us, handled under the confidentiality terms of the applicable engagement agreement.
- Software products. Account information (name, email), content you enter into the product, and usage and diagnostic data used to operate and improve the product.
- QuickBooks-connected tools. When you authorize a connection through Intuit’s OAuth flow, we access accounting data from the connected QuickBooks company (for example invoices, bills, customers, vendors, accounts, and balances) limited to what the authorized service requires.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve our services and products.
- To process and analyze financial data as part of an engagement or authorized product function.
- To respond to inquiries and communicate about services you use.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use client or product data for third-party advertising.
QuickBooks and other connected platforms
Data obtained through Intuit QuickBooks or any other connected platform is used solely to provide the service to the company that authorized the connection. It is never sold, rented, or used for advertising.
You can revoke access at any time from your Intuit account settings, which disconnects the integration. On written request we will delete platform data we hold, subject to legal retention requirements. Use of Intuit services is also governed by Intuit’s own terms and privacy policy.
Sharing, security, and retention
- Sharing. We share information only with service providers that help us operate (such as hosting and email providers) under obligations to protect it, with professional advisors, when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer. We never sell it.
- Security. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege credentials appropriate to the sensitivity of financial data.
- Retention. We keep information as long as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion at any time.
Your rights and contact
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing RNovak@crestpointventures.com. We respond within 30 days.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
